Position Summary
As a Performance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the performance and scalability of critical business systems. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with deep technical knowledge and strong collaboration skills. Working within a hybrid model, you’ll utilize state-of-the-art performance monitoring and testing tools to ensure systems operate at peak performance, especially in the context of medical technology.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and Analyze System Performance:
Leverage New Relic to collect and analyze system metrics, providing actionable insights to improve performance and stability.
Develop Performance Testing Scripts:
Use Apache JMeter to simulate various load scenarios, identify system limitations, and ensure readiness for production traffic.
Application Monitoring with AppDynamics:
Integrate and manage AppDynamics to track performance metrics across applications, isolate slow transactions, and resolve potential issues before they impact users.
Python Scripting for Automation:
Design and implement Python-based automation scripts to streamline performance testing and reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing accuracy.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
Partner with development, infrastructure, and QA teams to define performance criteria and build effective testing strategies tailored to application architecture.
Java Application Profiling:
Conduct thorough performance analysis on Java-based applications, pinpoint bottlenecks, and suggest code-level enhancements to optimize speed and responsiveness.
Deliver Insightful Reports:
Prepare comprehensive performance reports detailing system behavior, test outcomes, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders and technical teams.
Adhere to Best Practices:
Ensure all testing processes align with industry standards, maintain thorough documentation, and continually evolve methodologies to reflect best practices.
Code Review Participation:
Engage in code reviews to assess performance implications and ensure optimal coding practices.
Stay Informed on Industry Trends:
Remain current with the latest developments in performance engineering, including tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
Domain-Specific Collaboration:
Work closely with the Medical Devices team to address unique performance requirements and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Framework Development:
Contribute to the creation and refinement of internal performance testing frameworks, fostering continuous process improvement.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Assist in identifying root causes of performance degradation and provide prompt resolutions, minimizing business impact.
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong blend of technical capabilities, analytical thinking, and domain-specific knowledge.
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience (4–8 years) in performance analysis, testing, and system optimization.
Proficient in using New Relic for in-depth performance monitoring.
Expertise in Python scripting for automation and data processing.
Strong working knowledge of AppDynamics for application performance management.
Hands-on experience with Apache JMeter to conduct load and stress testing.
Strong command of Java, with the ability to debug, profile, and optimize code.
Mandatory experience in the Medical Devices domain, understanding compliance and operational nuances.
