🎯 Role Purpose
As a VLSI Engineer – L3, your core responsibility is to design and verify VLSI systems, ensuring high-quality IP development, minimal latency, and maximum efficiency. You will be involved in all phases of the VLSI design lifecycle—from functional verification and debugging to documentation and reporting—working directly with clients and internal teams to deliver top-tier silicon solutions.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Functional Verification and IP Debugging

Understand and analyze the architecture of VLSI modules/IPs.

Create a verification environment and development plan based on Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) or equivalent.

Develop test benches and test case scripts for multiple IPs or modules.

Execute and debug test cases, identifying root causes of test failures.

Perform functional coverage analysis and document outcomes, including errors and correction procedures.

Use platforms like JIRA or SharePoint to track and report test results and debug processes.

Run comprehensive regression testing to ensure performance stability and coverage.

Debug and upgrade existing VLSI systems with minimal latency and maximum resource efficiency.

Develop scripts to automate verification and regression procedures.
2️⃣ Physical Design – Place and Route

Apply physical place and route techniques using industry-standard tools.

Focus on RTL to GDSII implementation, floorplanning, clock tree synthesis, and routing.

Optimize layout for power, performance, and area (PPA).

Ensure physical designs meet all DFT, DRC, LVS, and IR drop specifications.

Work closely with layout engineers to close timing and physical verification loops.
3️⃣ Documentation & Client Reporting
