Key Responsibilities of the General Manager (IT):

Lead the integration of different IT platforms and systems for streamlining business operations in all departments and geographies.
Cyber Security and Information Security:
Oversee cybersecurity and information security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of GRID-India’s sensitive data and IT assets.
Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to map out potential security threats and design measures to overcome them.
Implement measures to ensure the organization’s compliance with national and international data protection regulations, such as the security of operational technology (OT) systems.
Leadership and Team Management:
Offer mentoring and direction to the IT team to ensure they are equipped with adequate resources, training, and support to perform in their positions.
Establish a culture of ongoing learning and innovation in the IT department.
Lead IT professional recruitment efforts to bring in the appropriate talent to drive increasing technological needs.
Working with Other Departments:
Work with senior management and other department heads to see that IT strategies drive overall company objectives and business needs.
Coordinate with operations, finance, and HR departments to roll out integrated IT systems that enhance operational effectiveness and productivity.
Budget and Resource Allocation:
Manage the IT department’s budget so that resources are properly allocated for current and future projects.
Control IT project expenses and ensure that IT investments are in line with GRID-India’s strategic objectives and yield concrete value.
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with industry practices and regulatory needs pertaining to IT and cybersecurity.
Report periodically on IT performance metrics, cybersecurity status, and other such areas to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Required Qualifications:

A graduate degree in information technology, computer science, or any related field.
