Role Overview
As an SQL and Delphix expert, you will be part of the Infosys Quality Engineering team. Your key responsibility will be to design, develop, validate, and support systems and solutions for various technology projects. You will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction through quality service delivery. If you’re interested in data management, SQL, and ETL processes and have hands-on experience with Test Data Management (TDM) tools such as Delphix, this job is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities
• Client Requirement Analysis:
Collect and analyze client requirements and technical specifications. Convert business requirements into system-level requirements and design documents.
• System Design and Development:
Oversee the development and design of effective systems and solutions with SQL, TDM tools, and data management methodologies. Assist in coding, testing, and implementation of functionalities as needed.
• Project Estimations:
Offer precise work estimations to project managers and technology leads. Assist in overall project planning by estimating time, resources, and cost for implementation.
• Test Data Management Implementation:
Lead the deployment of test data management solutions on Delphix or comparable platforms like K2View, Broadcom TDM, or in-house custom-built platforms.
• Collaborative Engagement:
Maintain close communication with onshore and offshore teams such as developers, QA managers, business analysts, architects, and stakeholders for smooth delivery execution.
• Pilot and POC Execution:
Conduct TDM evaluations and implement Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) or pilot installations for new TDM approaches.
• Data Profiling and Sensitivity Analysis:
Perform data profiling operations to determine sensitive data elements in data domains and datasets. Establish logical PK-FK relationships within TDM metadata structures.
• Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate with all stakeholders to confirm alignment on requirements, implementation schedules, and desired outcomes.
Technical and Professional Requirements
• Experience with Delphix and TDM Tools:
Practical experience using Delphix or similar test data management solutions is a must. Knowledge of other platforms such as K2View, Broadcom TDM, or home–grown TDM solutions is an added benefit.
• SQL and ETL Expertise:
SQL programming skills and sound knowledge of ETL principles are necessary to excel in this position.
• TDM Best Practices:
Hands-on experience in creating and deploying TDM solutions using industry-standard best practices and frameworks.
• Data Profiling Skills:
Competence in executing data profiling on different data sets to identify sensitive data and categorize data elements effectively.
• Working with QA and Development Teams:
Cooperate with QA managers, testers, and developers to develop and sustain a strong test data management framework.
• Experience in Data Relationship Mapping
Experienced in creating logical Primary Key–Foreign Key (PK-FK) relationships and merging metadata with TDM tools.
• Solution Delivery and Support:
Support delivery by resolving technical issues, improving performance, and maintaining solution reliability after deployment.
Preferred Skills and Technologies
• ETL Tools & Data Warehousing:
Data services testing skills, including data warehouse testing and ETL tool usage, are highly preferred.
• SQL Server and SSIS:
Skills in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to handle, transform, and load data efficiently.
• TDM Strategy and Roadmap Development:
Experience in planning and building TDM strategies in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Automation and Optimization:
Knowledge of automation methods and scripting to automate data provisioning and masking activities.
