Key Responsibilities of the Software Engineer Role
As a software developer, you will be a critical component in the successful deployment of Cerner Edge solutions within CareAware environments. Your key job responsibilities will be:

• Software Development & Engineering:
Developcode, debug, review, test, and analyze new software.
Design technical specifications for medium-scope projects for the team.
Offer high-level architecture input to boost system functionality.
Fix sophisticated software problems by developing efficient and scalable solutions.

• Stakeholder Collaboration & Innovation:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp existing functionality and evaluate the level of complexity involved in introducing new features.
o
Provide effort estimates for current and future projects to support effective project planning.
Recommend and introduce process enhancements to optimize overall efficiency.
o
Knowledge share and mentor junior colleagues to facilitate ongoing skill improvement.
• Technology Utilization:
o
Develop on a contemporary technology platform leveraging cutting-edge frameworks.
o
Leverage cloud platforms, automation tools, and containerization technologies to automate deployment and operations processes.
Required Qualifications
To be 
eligible for this roleapplicants should possess the following qualifications:

•  Education & Experience:
o
Minimum 3 years of combined higher education and relevant work experience.
o
System administration and system engineering background with experience in Linux operating systems.
o
Practical experience in Java software development and PHP programming.
o
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related field.

• Technical Skills:
o
Excellent knowledge of networking fundamentals.
o
Hands-on with source code management tools like Git.

Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications and experience will be beneficial:
• Cloud Computing Knowledge: Experience working with cloud environments like AWS (Amazon Web Services) and OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
• Infrastructure Automation: Practical experience with Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Packer, or comparable tools.
• Software Deployment & Scripting: Knowledge to create scripts for software deployment and installation automation.
•Container Administration & Development: Docker, vSphere, or other containerization technology familiarity.
• Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD): Jenkins or equivalent tool experience.
• Database Management: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational database technology familiarity.
• Operating System Security: Best practices in OS security and compliance knowledge.
•Agile Development Practices: Agile methodology understanding and JIRA project tracking experience.
• Monitoring & Log Analysis: 
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix or New Relic and log aggregation solutions such as Splunk.
