Google is seeking an experienced emulation engineer to work on developing hardware that enables revolutionary consumer electronics. Minimum Requirements:
In order to be qualified for this position, you should possess the following minimum requirements:
A Bachelor‘s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or any other relevant technical field. Practical experience to an equivalent extent will also be taken into account.
At least 3 years of experience using industry-standard emulation tools and methods.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Tcl.
Extensive knowledge in high-level hardware description languages such as Verilog or SystemVerilog.
Hands-on experience with industry-leading hardware emulation platforms including:
Cadence Palladium
Mentor Veloce
Synopsis EVE
FPGA-based rapid prototyping platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
If you possess the following additional qualifications, you will be a very competitive candidate:
A master‘s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science with a concentration in computer architecture.
Extensive knowledge of chip design flow, including simulation and synthesis.
Extensive experience in design verification languages and methodologies, including SystemVerilog, UVM, or OVM.
Key Responsibilities:
You will have the following key responsibilities as an emulation engineer:
Plan and conduct RTL partitioning, synthesis, and verification to develop efficient and correct emulation models.
Execute extensive test suites and application software workloads on emulation platforms for rigorous pre-silicon validation.
Apply advanced debugging techniques and tools to effectively locate and fix intricate design problems.
Optimize emulation performance and analyze it for maximum efficiency and resource utilization.
Establish and implement best practices, create bespoke tools, and collaborate very closely with design and verification teams to drive productivity and uphold high standards.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time job located in the United States. The starting base salary for this job is $132,000 – $189,000, plus other bonuses, stock, and benefits. Compensation varies based on many factors, such as work area, skills related to the job, education, and experience. Your recruiter will share more information about the exact salary range depending on your desired location while going through the hiring process.
